Commit to life!

2013 is quickly approaching! And in the spirit of tradition we will begin to make New Year Resolutions. I’m a great believer in resolutions; starting fresh, starting over and even starting again. But this year, try a new tradition of committing to enjoying life.

Outside of your normal ‘weight loss, exercise more resolutions’, resolve to commit more time to things like getting more rest. A great night’s sleep allows your body to rejuvenate; allowing for clear thinking, a better attitude and better productivity. Secondly, laugh more! Laughter really is good for the soul. Count the times you’ve had a bad day and after laughing at something silly you felt so much better! So laugh more! Third, turn off the TV and get involved in the best reality show ever; YOURS! Create a “Life List” of things you’d like to do in 2013 and DO THEM. Fourth; Volunteer. Volunteer and then Volunteer. Need I say Volunteer again? And my personal favorite is to create a trail of beauty. Surround yourself with beautiful people (spiritually and mentally), beautiful fresh flowers, a clean car, (yes, a clean car) and a beautiful, intimate space in your home. Beautiful surroundings will clear your mind of the clutter from life and work. And finally, commit to daily spiritual deposits. There’s a saying, “You are what you eat”. This applies to your spiritual diet as well. Look at your spiritual plate and make sure its well balanced.

Resolve in 2013 to commit to life by living at peace, living happy and just living. Period. “There is nothing better for a person than that he should eat and drink and find enjoyment in his toil. This also, I saw, is from the hand of God...” Eccl 2:24

Live a P.O.S.H life!
